Festival season!
It’s festival season and we have an exciting autumn ahead of us!
SEMIFINALISTS IN THE AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL SCRIPT COMPETITION PODCAST TRACK
That’s right! After being finalists in 2017 with The Amelia Project, and Pip being a semifinalist again in 2018, we’ve been selected once again for Austin Film Festival in Texas, USA! Our script “Dial It Up” is among the five semifinalists in the podcast track and we are beyond excited! At the end of October Pip will be heading over to the US to attend the film festival, binge exciting seminars at the writer’s conference, meet fellow podcasters and soak up the atmosphere drinking craft beer and eating brisket in the artsiest city in Texas!
When we were in Austin in 2017 we sat in a diner with huge mugs of coffee coming up with the idea of the Interviewer ending up in prison, the idea that was the spark for the whole third season of The Amelia Project. Who knows what crazy ideas Pip will come up with when he heads over now?

THE AMELIA PROJECT AT THE PODCAST LOUNGE AT AESTHETICA SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
Another large film festival that has added podcasts to its roster is Aesthetica Film Festival in York, UK. The Amelia Project is part of the official selection for the Podcast Lounge, where our first episode Zale Indigo Ravenheart will be played alongside a host of other exciting podcasts. Being included in the program, we are up for both the Best of Festival and Best Podcast Awards.
Both Pip and Oystein are going to York to attend the festival which runs from the 5ht to the 10th of November. We are looking forward to getting artistic input both from other films and podcasts on the program, and from the many seminars and workshops available.
The last time Pip and Oystein were in York we were hiking through the Yorkshire moors. One very foggy night we accidentally camped in a farmer’s field, waking up the next day to the sound of a sheep munching on our tent. Eating Fat Rascal’s from Betty’s as the sun rose up over the moors was quite magical though.
Maybe we’ll find time for a Fat Rascal on this trip too?
